A massive P5.1-billion golf and residential development is set to transform New Clark City in Tarlac, marking a significant milestone in the area's ongoing transformation into a premier sports and lifestyle destination.
International Partnership Drives Development
The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has finalized a landmark agreement with South Korea's leading real estate investment management firms. Korea Real Estate Investment & Trust (KOREIT) Asset Management and Sky Blue New Clark City Golf & Resort Corp. will collaborate on developing a premium golf course and residential estate that promises to elevate the Philippines' sports and tourism infrastructure.
BCDA President Jake Bingcang emphasized the significance of this international partnership, stating that it reflects growing confidence from global institutional investors in New Clark City's long-term development vision.
Project Specifications and Timeline
The comprehensive development will span 150 hectares and feature multiple world-class components. The estate will include an 18-hole championship golf course and clubhouse covering 77 hectares, complemented by a 9-hole extension across 52 hectares with supporting facilities.
The remaining areas will be dedicated to residential villas and related amenities, creating a complete lifestyle destination. Through its Philippine subsidiaries Eagle-K GC Corp. and Eagle-K RV Corp., KOREIT will oversee the full development and management of the entire estate.
Commercial operations of the golf course are scheduled to commence by the first quarter of 2026, marking an accelerated timeline for this substantial investment.
Economic Impact and Regional Benefits
The project is expected to generate substantial economic benefits for Tarlac and surrounding regions. Approximately 1,200 direct and indirect jobs will be created through the development and operation of the estate.
Beyond employment generation, the golf estate is projected to stimulate tourism growth, support local businesses, and attract both domestic and international visitors. This aligns with broader efforts to position New Clark City as a competitive, sustainable growth center in Central Luzon.
"This project goes beyond building new facilities," Bingcang emphasized. "It creates jobs, opens opportunities for local communities, and supports regional growth. It is another step in making New Clark City a world-class, sustainable district."
The P5.1-billion investment represents one of the most significant private developments in New Clark City's recent history, signaling strong international confidence in the Philippines' emerging growth centers and their potential to become major tourism and sports destinations in Southeast Asia.
