Foundation University Inaugurates Smeets Hall 2 to Boost Nursing Education
Foundation University has officially opened Smeets Hall 2, a new seven-story building dedicated to the College of Nursing, in a blessing and inauguration ceremony held on March 13, 2026. The event, which took place in Dumaguete, featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by key university officials, including president Victor Vicente “Dean” Sinco, president emeritus Dr. Edelmira D. Sinco, university chancellor Dr. Charlotte V. Cariño, dean of Nursing Jethri Catalan, and vice chancellor of innovations Stephen Sinco.

The building is designed to provide expanded learning spaces that support both academic and clinical training for nursing students.
