The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region (PRO-NIR) celebrated the exceptional contributions of nine police personnel during a special ceremony held on November 10, 2025. The event took place at Kanlaon Hall within Camp Alfredo M. Montelibano Sr. in Barangay Estefania, Bacolod City.
Distinguished Awardees Recognized
Police Brigadier General Dennis Esguerra, who serves as the PRO-NIR officer-in-charge, presided over the ceremony and personally presented plaques of appreciation to the honorees. The event was attended by numerous officials who gathered to celebrate the achievements of their colleagues.
Three police officials received the prestigious Medalya ng Kasanayan for their invaluable services during the Undas 2025 operations. The awardees were Lieutenant Colonels Jerry Corpus, John Ganzon, and Joel Senogat Jr., who formed the Red Teaming unit of PRO-NIR during the All Saints' and All Souls' Days observance in Negros Island Region.
Exemplary Performance During Critical Period
According to Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, chief of the PRO-NIR Public Information Office, the recognized personnel demonstrated remarkable effectiveness and efficiency in fulfilling their mandated responsibilities during the Undas period. Their dedication ensured the successful implementation of PRO-NIR's functional requirements.
Six non-commissioned officers earned the Medalya ng Papuri for their outstanding performance and loyalty. The recipients included Police Executive Master Sergeant Ruel Gubac, Police Chief Master Sergeant Paulo Matunding, Police Master Sergeants Glenn Cordero, Mark Jesmar Ruiz, Mark Pen Diwatin, and Police Corporal Joey Bana-ag.

Malong emphasized that the awardees' unwavering commitment and exemplary service significantly contributed to realizing the Philippine National Police's mission and objectives. Their accomplishments brought honor and pride not only to themselves but to the entire PNP organization.
