Former SexBomb dancer Izzy Trazona-Aragon has publicly expressed her surprise and confusion over recent claims made by her child, Sofia Aragon, regarding their communication. In an interview with the show "Cabinet Files," which was published on Pep.ph, Trazona-Aragon firmly denied statements circulating on social media that suggest a long-term lack of contact between them.
Denial of Social Media Claims
Sofia, who identifies as a trans woman, had previously shared posts online implying that she has not been in communication with her mother and feels unsupported in her identity and career as a drag performer. However, Trazona-Aragon refuted these allegations, stating that they are false and based on recent interactions.
"Hindi totoo 'yon kasi kaka-message lang niya sa akin. Nagme-message kami. Hindi ko alam kung bakit kailangan niyang gawin 'yon. Not true po," Trazona-Aragon emphasized during the interview. She highlighted that she and Sofia have been exchanging messages regularly, contradicting the narrative of estrangement.
Recent Message Exchanges Cited
To support her denial, Trazona-Aragon cited a specific recent message from Sofia. "Kasi last message niya sa akin, 'I am very proud of you na you are standing for what is right and naiiyak ako because nagpunta ka sa concert,'" she recounted. This message referred to the SexBomb Girls concert held on February 7, 2026, at the Mall of Asia Arena, where Trazona-Aragon made a special appearance.
In response to Sofia's message, Trazona-Aragon said she replied, "Sabi ko, 'Thank you, anak. By the grace of God and I miss you.' Sabi ko sa kanya, 'I love you.' Sabi niya, 'I miss you too.' May ganoon siya." She expressed confusion over why Sofia would then post about a lack of communication, adding, "Kaya ngayon, nabasa ko kanina, bakit ganoon? Naguguluhan ako. Hindi ko pa siya nakakausap about that."
Questions About Gender-Affirming Surgery
When asked about reports that Sofia plans to undergo gender-affirming surgery in March 2026, Trazona-Aragon appeared unaware, responding with, "Ay ganoon? May ganoon?" This reaction suggests a potential disconnect or lack of discussion about Sofia's personal decisions, despite the claimed ongoing communication.
Earlier social media posts by Sofia had indicated feelings of unsupport from her mother regarding her identity as a trans woman and her work as a drag performer. The situation highlights ongoing family dynamics and communication challenges within celebrity circles.
