Almost 100 Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) trainees were hospitalized after suffering from suspected food poisoning at Camp Adriano D. Hernandez in Dingle, Iloilo.
In an interview with Bombo Radyo, Colonel Edralin Poblete, Group Commander of Reserve Command VI, said the investigation pointed to the adobong baboy (pork adobo) served during dinner as the likely cause. Most of the victims were female trainees who ate the dish first.
The affected individuals were taken to several hospitals, including Pototan District Hospital, Barotac Nuevo District Hospital, and Dumangas District Hospital. According to Poblete, the trainees are now in stable condition, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
