ZAMBOANGA. Authorities arrested four high-value individuals and successfully dismantled a drug den in a law enforcement operation on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, in Purok Forever, Olingan village, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte, an official said on Thursday, May 28, 2026.
Arrested Suspects
The arrested individuals were identified as alias Josiree, the alleged drug den maintainer; alias Rowelyn, a drug den employee; and visitors alias Llewel and alias Valeriano. Bryan Babang, director of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Zamboanga Peninsula, confirmed the arrests.
Operation Details
The operation was conducted by serving a search warrant at around 3:24 p.m. on Wednesday. Babang stated that the implementation of the warrant led to the dismantling of the drug den. Seized from the suspects were approximately 10 grams of suspected shabu valued at PHP 68,000, along with various drug paraphernalia, including improvised tooters, aluminum foil strips, disposable lighters, and a scooper with suspected shabu residue.
Legal Charges
The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The alleged drug den maintainer faces charges under Sections 6, 11, and 12, while the employee and visitors will be charged under Sections 7, 13, and 14 of the same Act.
Agency Coordination
The anti-drug operation was led by operatives of the PDEA Zamboanga del Norte Provincial Office in coordination with the Dipolog City Police Station Drug Enforcement Team, Regional Drug Enforcement Unit 9, and the 901st Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion-9.
