Two brothers believed to be drug pushers are now behind bars after being arrested in a buy-bust operation in Purok Sung-agan, Barangay Suba, Danao City on Tuesday night, June 16.
Suspects Identified
The Danao City Police Station identified the suspects as Mark Reggie Dagatan Montes, 38, single, and his younger brother Ninh Raygmond Dagatan Montes, 36. Both are residents of the said barangay.
Operation Details
According to police reports, the City Drugs Enforcement Unit (CDEU) launched the operation at around 10:23 PM after confirming the illegal activities of the brothers, who were on the authorities' watchlist.
Seized from the suspects were nine packets of suspected shabu valued at over P3,000, including the P200 marked money used in the operation.
Charges Filed
The brothers will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The evidence has been submitted for forensic examination.
