The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reported that Typhoon Inday has caused 17 deaths and affected over half a million people. The fatalities were primarily due to drowning and landslides.
Casualties and Missing Persons
Of the 17 recorded deaths, 10 were from Malapatan, Sarangani; five from Calanogas, Lanao del Sur; and two from Bukidnon. Additionally, nine individuals remain missing, with six from Calanogas and three from Malapatan.
Extent of Damage
The typhoon impacted approximately 112,500 families. In response, the government has provided around P16.41 million in assistance to affected residents.
Typhoon Inday exited the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday.
