Motorcycle Rider Dies in Toledo City Collision

A 52-year-old motorcycle driver was declared dead on arrival after his vehicle collided with an SUV on the national highway in Barangay Sangi, Toledo City, at around 3:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 11, 2026.

Victim and SUV Driver Identified

The fatality was identified as Cristuto “Toto” Sepada, a resident of Sitio Abayan, Barangay General Climaco, Toledo City. The SUV driver was identified as Don Zarren Berdon, 18, from Purok Rose, Barangay Lamac, Pinamungajan.

Investigation Findings

According to traffic personnel who responded to the scene, the two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions. Initial investigation indicates that the SUV was moving in its proper lane, but Sepada’s motorcycle suddenly swerved into the opposite lane, causing the collision.

Due to the force of the impact, Sepada was thrown onto the road. He was rushed to Toledo General Hospital but was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Mark Anthony P. Cabanig.
