Magnitude 5.3 Quake Strikes Davao Oriental Early Friday

A magnitude 5.3 earthquake shook the waters off the southeastern coast of Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental early Friday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS). The tremor was recorded at around 12:34 a.m., with a tectonic origin and a depth of approximately 10 kilometers.

  • Intensity II – City of Digos, Davao Del Sur; Santa Maria, Davao Oriental; Malapatan, Sarangani
