The weather bureau continues to monitor Tropical Storm Jangmi, which is currently outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) this afternoon. According to reports, the storm's center is located 1,235 kilometers east of Southeastern Luzon.
Storm Intensity and Movement
Jangmi carries maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour near its center, with gusts reaching up to 90 kilometers per hour. It is currently moving north-northwestward but at a slow pace.
Weather Effects on the Country
Meanwhile, the southwesterly windflow is affecting the country, bringing cloudy skies and rain to Palawan and the western parts of Visayas and Mindanao. Additionally, the trough of Tropical Storm Jangmi is affecting the rest of Mindanao, causing rains and thunderstorms in some areas.
