Two men were rushed to a hospital after sustaining fractures when their motorcycle crashed into a concrete railing along a road in Sitio Huyuhoy, Barangay Busay, Cebu City past 3:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2026.
The driver was identified as Jefrel Henonangan, 22, while the passenger was Anthon Rey Sumagang, 25, both residents of Lapu-Lapu City.
According to barangay tanods who first responded to the scene, the victims had been drinking at Mountain View prior to the incident.
The two were heading home when the motorcycle suddenly lost its brakes, causing Henonangan to lose control and crash into the concrete railing along the road.
Due to the impact, the victims were thrown off the motorcycle. Henonangan ended up on the lower part of the road, while Sumagang was found in a grassy area.
Because of fractures in various parts of their bodies, the victims were immediately taken to the nearest hospital.
