Fair Weather Dominates the Philippine Weekend
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has announced that the country can expect generally fair and hot weather conditions over the upcoming weekend. Weather specialist Mark Gales delivered this forecast on Friday, November 28, 2025, offering a positive outlook for outdoor plans.
Gales confirmed that no low pressure area (LPA) is currently being monitored, following the departure of the previous Typhoon Verbena, which has already made its way to Vietnam. This absence of major weather disturbances points towards a period of atmospheric stability for the islands.
Hot Days with Isolated Rain showers
Despite the overall fair weather, the state weather bureau advises the public to remain prepared for sudden changes. "This weekend, we’re expecting generally fair weather conditions, so it will be mostly hot throughout the day. But we still have chances of localized rains," Gales stated.
These potential rains are attributed to localized thunderstorms, which can develop quickly and bring short but heavy downpours to specific areas. Residents are encouraged to stay hydrated due to the heat while keeping an umbrella handy for unexpected showers.

Looking further ahead, Pagasa's models indicate a shift in weather patterns. Gales reported that their analysis shows a low to moderate chance that a low pressure area may form and potentially intensify into a typhoon by the second week of December.
This serves as an early advisory for Filipinos to begin preparing for the possibility of a tropical cyclone as the month progresses. However, Gales was quick to offer reassurance for the immediate future, adding, "For now, we expect generally fair weather, so conditions will be stable and calm, except for the usual localized thunderstorms."
