The 2026 BingoPlus Philippine Asian Development Tour Open burst into action on Wednesday, June 17, as 132 elite golfers showcased their competitive spirit on the expansive fairways of the Luisita Golf and Country Club in Tarlac. Englishman Thomas Plumb stole the spotlight, surging to the top of a crowded leaderboard with a flawless 8-under-par 64, capped by a stunning back-nine performance in the afternoon session.
Top Performers Shine on Day One
Chinese Taipei's Su Ching-Hung matched the afternoon brilliance, securing second place with a 7-under 65, displacing a three-way morning tie among Japan's Naoki Sekito, Malaysia's Marcus Lim, and South Korea's Jaeil Kim. Filipino talents also made their mark, with young sensation Sean Ramos and James Ryan Lam tying for ninth at 4-under 68, proving local players can rise from local talent to national pride.
Plumb's Steady Hand Leads the Field
Plumb, 27, attributed his bogey-free round to consistent execution. “It was a good day from the start. I hit every green, which made things easier. Birdies kept coming through the front nine, and the back nine just continued. It was steady and perfect,” he said. He also praised BingoPlus for elevating Philippine golf to a global standard.
BingoPlus Supports the Event
BingoPlus, the leading Filipino online entertainment platform, received accolades from Plumb for its seamless event organization. “It's been brilliant. The golf courses are great, and the ADT runs it well. It should be a fun year,” he noted. The competition continues on Thursday, with players vying for a share of the USD 100,000 prize pool. The top two Filipino finishers earn spots in the 2026 BingoPlus Philippine Open by the International Series in November.
