LTO 7 Distributes Over 5,300 Motorcycle Plates in Cebu and Bohol Campaign
In a significant effort to enhance public service accessibility, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) 7 has successfully distributed more than 5,300 motorcycle plates during the first week of its "Friendly Flag Down" campaign in Cebu and Bohol. This initiative, which commenced on April 14, 2026, is designed to bring government services directly to motorists, streamlining processes and fostering a more positive relationship with the community.
Campaign Details and Operational Hours
The "Friendly Flag Down" campaign involves LTO personnel flagging down motorists who are still using temporary plates. Upon verification of their documents, the original plates are issued on the spot where they are stopped. The operations are conducted daily from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM in the morning and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM in the evening, ensuring convenience for commuters during peak hours.
Motorists are required to present their Official Receipt (OR) and Certificate of Registration (CR) to facilitate the plate distribution. This straightforward process aims to reduce bureaucratic hurdles and provide immediate assistance to vehicle owners.
Goals and Impact on Public Perception
According to LTO 7 Director Wendel Dinglasan, the campaign seeks to transform the public's view of the agency by making government transactions more efficient and user-friendly. By taking services to the streets, LTO 7 hopes to build trust and demonstrate its commitment to serving the community effectively.
The distribution of over 5,300 plates in just one week highlights the campaign's initial success and its potential to address backlog issues while improving overall service delivery in the region.
