A young motorcyclist sustained injuries in Cebu City after a sudden encounter with a stray dog led to an accident in the early hours of Monday morning.

The incident occurred around 4:00 AM on Monday, January 5, 2026, along Escario Street in Barangay Capitol Site, Cebu City. The rider, a 25-year-old man identified by the alias Jeboy, was on his way home when the crash happened.

Swerving to Avoid a Crossing Dog

According to Jeboy, he was returning home after having drinks with friends in Barangay Capitol Site. As he approached the area, a dog suddenly darted across the road. In an attempt to avoid hitting the animal, Jeboy swerved, causing him to lose control of his motorcycle and fall.

The impact of the fall left Jeboy unable to get up immediately. He suffered multiple abrasions on various parts of his body from the crash.

Response and Aftermath of the Crash

Following the accident, Jeboy was promptly assisted and taken to a nearby clinic (tambalanan) for medical treatment. The quick response ensured he received care for his injuries.
