SM Supermalls' Pink October 2025 Boosts Breast Cancer Awareness
SM Cares Pink October 2025: Nationwide Breast Cancer Drive

Communities across the Philippines came together in October 2025 to champion a vital cause, marking Breast Cancer Awareness Month with a powerful series of events focused on early detection, support, and public education.

Pink Illuminations and Activities in Cebu

The campaign was highly visible in Cebu, where The Cube at SM Seaside City was illuminated in a vibrant pink light, symbolizing solidarity with the cause. SM City Cebu served as a central hub for a month-long program of activities designed to engage and inform the public.

These initiatives included crucial free breast examinations, providing direct healthcare access. The community also gathered for a Pink Cancer Chat, featuring inspiring stories from survivors and dedicated advocates. Further events like the Pink Fashion Runway and the Pink Tote Exhibit creatively highlighted the journey and resilience of those affected, while a Pink Healing Mass offered a moment of spiritual reflection and comfort.

Davao's Dynamic Pink Ribbon Events

In Davao, the observance on October 9, 2025, was marked by a ceremonial Pink Ribbon unveiling and the launch of a Pink Pop-Up Fair. This effort was a collaborative endeavor with local advocacy groups, the Rotary Club of Downtown Davao, and the City Government of Davao.

The Davao event also provided free breast screenings and informative health forums. A highlight was the Pink Runway and Zumba session, where survivors and advocates confidently showcased upcycled fashion pieces created by talented local designers, blending fitness, art, and advocacy into a single, powerful statement.

Unified Mission for Women's Wellness

All these nationwide activities were part of the SM Cares’ Pink October initiative. As the corporate social responsibility arm of SM Supermalls, SM Cares works in close partnership with medical experts, advocacy groups, and local communities to consistently promote women’s health and wellness. The 2025 events successfully emphasized that community support and early detection are fundamental in the fight against breast cancer.
