A resident of Sorsogon City is celebrating a life-changing fortune after winning the multi-million peso jackpot in the latest Megalotto 6/45 draw. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) announced the major win on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
The Winning Ticket and Numbers
The lucky ticket, which matched all six numbers to secure the grand prize, was purchased in Barangay Cabid-An, Sorsogon City. The winning combination for the Friday night draw was 44-21-19-10-18-11. This sequence earned the single bettor the entire jackpot prize of PHP 14,435,567.
According to the PCSO advisory, the winner has up to one year from the draw date to claim the prize. The claim must be made at the main PCSO office in Mandaluyong City. It is important to note that the winnings are subject to a 20 percent final tax, as mandated by the Tax Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) Law for lottery prizes exceeding PHP 10,000.

While one person hit the jackpot, thousands of other players also won smaller prizes in the same draw, sharing in the fortune.
The PCSO reported the following other winners:
- 33 bettors correctly guessed five out of the six numbers. Each of them will receive PHP 32,000.
- 1,276 players matched four numbers, earning PHP 1,000 each.
- A significant number of 21,701 bettors got three numbers right, securing a prize of PHP 30 each.
