Angeles City Christmas Gift-Giving Aids 300+ Including Dialysis Patient
Angeles City 'WE KEN' Christmas Gift-Giving Helps Hundreds

Hundreds of residents in Angeles City, Pampanga, experienced an early Christmas blessing during a special gift-giving event held last Friday. The activity, which provided assistance to more than 300 individuals, was spearheaded by a local benefactor aiming to share the spirit of the season.

A Community's Christmas Wishes Fulfilled

The "WE KEN" Christmas gift-giving, also known as the "Wish Ko Lang Christmas Edition 2025," took place on December 19, 2025, along Westerways Avenue in Hensonville. Organized by Kenneth Lansang from Barangay Malabanias, the event drew a crowd of beneficiaries from various walks of life. Lansang explained his motivation was simple: to pay forward his blessings. "I am paying it forward. It's giving back to the community, sharing the blessings to the needy this yuletide season," he stated.

Among the attendees were some of the city's most vulnerable residents. A particularly touching moment was the donation of an 8-wheel walker to Edgar Asequia, a local who has been unable to stand for years. Asequia, who has been undergoing dialysis for nearly three years, received the assistive device which will now allow him to stand and walk with support.

Inspiring Eight Years of Generosity

Lansang revealed that his drive to help is rooted in a simple philosophy: "Kung may pagkakataong makatulong, bakit hindi?" (If there's a chance to help, why not?). This event is not a one-off act of charity; the sponsor has been consistently aiding his fellow Angeleños for the past eight years. The recent gift-giving featured a unique activity where the first 100 beneficiaries wrote down their "Christmas Wish" on a piece of paper, personalizing the experience of hope and receiving.

The program was graced by the presence of Malabanias Barangay Captain Luz Nava and was made more festive with a performance by blind singer Maria Dinia Ann Grafil, who sang "Star ng Pasko." The event culminated in the symbolic lighting of Christmas lanterns, spreading holiday cheer.

WE KEN: A Promise for Continued Support

Kenneth Lansang emphasized that this event is just the start of a broader initiative. "WE KEN is just the beginning," he declared, disclosing plans to provide more assistance to the marginalized sectors of Angeles City. He encapsulated the project's spirit with the words: "Ito ang WE KEN. Nagtutulungan tayo. Nagbibigayan tayo." (This is WE KEN. We help each other. We give to each other.)

To keep the community informed about future projects, Lansang encouraged attendees to follow his Facebook Page. He announced that details for the next Wish Dropping Activity and Gift Pack Distribution would be posted there, including a promised big draw to be broadcast live on Facebook. This move aims to sustain engagement and extend the reach of his charitable efforts beyond the holiday season.
