Zamboanga Battalion Conducts Leadership Transition for Civil Military Operations Section
The 97th Infantry Battalion (97IB) has officially implemented a significant leadership change within its Civil Military Operations (CMO) office, marking a pivotal moment for the unit's community engagement efforts. In a formal ceremony held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at the battalion headquarters in Del Pilar village, Pi an, Zamboanga del Norte, Captain Noel Magon assumed the role of CMO chief, succeeding First Lieutenant Elham Sirajan.

The Change of Office ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Jessie Bergonia, the commander of the 97IB, who oversaw the transition with military precision and tradition. During the event, Sirajan was formally promoted to the rank of captain, a recognition of his exceptional professionalism, competence, and unwavering dedication to service.
