Five Fraternity Members Surrender in Connection with Hazing Death of Maritime Student
In a significant development in a tragic case, five fraternity members allegedly involved in the hazing death of 19-year-old maritime student Mark Kenneth Alcedo have surrendered to authorities. Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla identified the four who surrendered in General Trias City as John Lee Tuliao, 22; Archie Rosil, 21; Kenneth Ompod, 18; and John Rey Torrecampo, 19. Remulla further disclosed that Tuliao and Torrecampo were the individuals who transported Alcedo to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to injuries sustained during the Tau Gamma Phi fraternity initiation rites on March 1.

The suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 11053, commonly known as the Anti-Hazing Law.
