During a press conference held on Monday, January 26, 2025, Mayor Archival confirmed that the distribution will proceed as planned. This release is part of a city ordinance that mandates providing monthly cash aid to qualified senior citizens, a system Archival championed last year to replace the previous quarterly schedule.
The shift to monthly distributions was implemented to streamline the City Government's financial management and ensure regular, timely releases of funds. This approach aims to provide consistent support to the elderly community throughout the year.

While the mid-February dates are confirmed, Mayor Archival revealed that the exact schedule and setup for the P2,000 cash assistance are still being finalized.
