Cayetano Responds to Tulfo Brothers, Lacson Over Facebook Criticism
Cayetano Hits Back at Tulfo Brothers, Lacson on Facebook

Senator Alan Peter Cayetano has responded to his critics who have been calling him out for his frequent use of Facebook Live, including Senators Raffy Tulfo and Erwin Tulfo, as well as Senator Ping Lacson. In his latest Facebook Live broadcast, Cayetano expressed confusion over the criticism, pointing out that the Tulfo brothers also use social media platforms. He argued that his online broadcasts attract a larger audience because the public wants to hear his perspective and his version of the truth.

Cayetano accused Raffy and Erwin Tulfo, along with Senator Ping Lacson, of taking turns criticizing him and spreading misinformation against him. It will be recalled that Cayetano faced backlash for his frequent Facebook Live sessions while his group was absent from Senate sessions during his tenure as Senate President. The Tulfo brothers have repeatedly stated that he should prioritize attending sessions over posting on social media.

Meanwhile, the issue has gained renewed attention after Senator Ping Lacson revealed that an estimated P700 million in public funds were allegedly wasted during Cayetano's 28-day leadership as Senate President. Cayetano did not directly deny the amount but instead claimed that the Senate would have incurred similar expenses regardless of who was serving as Senate President at the time.
