A suspected drug personality included in the watchlist of the Philippine National Police (PNP) was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Monday evening, June 8, 2026, in Purok 2, Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran City.
Suspect Identified
The suspect, identified by the alias “Bali,” 31, is a resident of the same area. The successful operation was conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bohol Police Provincial Office (BPPO) with assistance from the Tagbilaran City Police Station.
Confiscated Items
Seized from the suspect were 16.4 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price of P111,520, a cellular phone, and the motorcycle used in delivering illegal drugs.
The suspect is currently in the custody of the Tagbilaran City Police Station and will face charges for violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
Commendation from Police Officials
Police Colonel Patricio Degay Jr., chief of the BPPO, commended the dedication of his personnel that led to the arrest of the drug personality. According to Degay, the success is part of their campaign to reduce illegal drugs and ensure a peaceful, orderly, and safe community throughout the province of Bohol.
