The aid distribution, which took place recently, provided both financial and nutritional support to those in need.
Substantial Support for Ailing Residents
The provincial Capitol reported that a total of 4,281 individuals suffering from cancer, kidney disease, and tuberculosis became beneficiaries of the program. Each recipient received a comprehensive aid package designed to alleviate some of the pressures associated with long-term treatment.
The assistance included P2,000 in cash, half a cavan of rice, and additional food packs. This initiative specifically targeted patients residing in the Second District of Pampanga, encompassing the municipality of Bacolor and the City of San Fernando.
A Personal Story of Early Detection and Aid
Among those who received help was Minerva Buensuceso, 49, a cancer patient. Her journey highlights the importance of the province's interconnected health programs. Buensuceso was initially diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer after a medical check-up conducted under the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program.
Provincial officials emphasized that this early detection was pivotal, enabling her to receive immediate medical intervention. Her treatment has included two surgeries, and she is currently undergoing ongoing chemotherapy and radiation therapy. The recent aid serves as vital support during this challenging and costly treatment phase.

The distribution of the aid was personally led by Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda and Vice Governor Dennis “Delta” Pineda. Their direct involvement underscored the provincial government's commitment to its citizens' welfare.
