PRO-7 Seizes Over P1.4 Million in Illegal Drugs in Two-Day Central Visayas Operation
In a significant crackdown on narcotics, the Police Regional Office (PRO)-7 has confiscated illegal drugs valued at more than P1.4 million during a two-day anti-drug operation across Central Visayas on March 13 to 14, 2026. This operation is part of an ongoing intensive campaign against illegal substances, resulting in the arrest of 39 drug suspects.
Massive Drug Haul and Key Arrest
According to data released by PRO-7, authorities seized a total of 216.25 grams of suspected shabu within the 24-hour operation period. The largest seizure occurred during a buy-bust operation conducted by the Abellana Police Station 2 at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, March 13, 2026, in Sityo San Roque, Barangay Sambag 1, Cebu City.
In this critical bust, a 23-year-old high-value individual was apprehended, with police confiscating 160 grams of suspected shabu estimated to be worth P1.088 million. This arrest highlights the effectiveness of targeted police efforts in disrupting major drug distribution networks in the region.

PRO-7 Chief Brigadier General Redrico Maranan praised his personnel for their relentless commitment to the anti-drug campaign. In a statement, Maranan emphasized the importance of sustained operations and community cooperation.
