The New York Knicks will look to bounce back after their 13-game playoff winning streak was snapped as they host the San Antonio Spurs for Game 4 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, June 11, 2026 (PH time) at Madison Square Garden.
Series Status
The Knicks, who lost Game 3 115-111, still lead the best-of-seven series 2-1. However, the Spurs have gained significant momentum after registering their first win of the finals.
Both teams are expected to make crucial adjustments for this pivotal game.
Knicks' Offensive Adjustments
For the Knicks, defending Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is not their only concern. Head coach Mike Brown emphasized the need to better integrate Karl-Anthony Towns into the offense. Towns managed only 11 points in Game 3 and failed to score in the fourth quarter for the third consecutive game.
“It’s extremely important that he’s getting touches, that he’s involved, not just in the fourth quarter, but obviously throughout the ballgame,” Brown said. “I got to continue trying to do a better job of getting him involved throughout the course of the game, as well as late.”
Spurs' Winning Formula
In Game 3, the Spurs rediscovered their winning formula by relying heavily on the presence of the 7'4" Wembanyama, who scored 32 points — his first 30-point game since May 24.
“The goal is always to go inside. The best shot in the game is an alley-oop — the most efficient shot,” Wembanyama explained.
The series continues with Game 4, where the Knicks aim to regain control and the Spurs seek to even the series.
