Tancontian showcased his skill on the lanes by winning the Datba Monthly Tournament May Championship on May 31, 2026, at the SM Lanang Premier Bowling Center in Davao City. Tancontian recorded a tournament-best 1,511 pinfalls across eight games to lead a competitive field of 24 finalists.
Championship Performance
Tancontian, an architect by profession, delivered a consistent performance throughout the six-hour competition, which ran from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. His total pinfall of 1,511 was the highest among all participants, earning him the title, a trophy, and a cash prize of P9,000. The tournament was sanctioned by the Philippine Bowling Federation (PBF).
Top Finishers
The championship round saw tight competition, with only 50 pins separating the top four bowlers after eight games. Berna Mozar secured first runner-up with 1,490 pinfalls, earning a medal and P6,000. Paul Palacio placed second runner-up with 1,486 pinfalls, just four pins behind Mozar, and received a medal and P4,000. Roger Geonzon took third runner-up honors with 1,461 pinfalls, winning a medal and P3,000.
