The Benedicto College Cheetahs are set to kick off their campaign to defend their championship title in the highly anticipated 2026 Bulacao-Talisay Sinulog Cup Inter-Collegiate Basketball Tournament. This exciting event will commence on Monday night, February 2, 2026, at the Barangay Bulacao Sports Complex in Talisay City, Cebu.

Tournament Format and Schedule

The competition will feature four collegiate teams battling it out over a four-day period, making it one of the major highlights of the upcoming Barangay Bulacao-Talisay fiesta. Organized under the leadership of Barangay Captain Banjo Abastilla, the tournament promises thrilling basketball action for fans and participants alike.

Opening Night Matchups

The opening game is scheduled for 6:30 p.m., where the Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) runner-up University of Cebu (UC) Webmasters, coached by Atty. Kern Sesante, will go head-to-head against the University of San Carlos (USC) Warriors, led by coach Paul Joven. Following this, the main event will showcase the defending champions Benedicto College Cheetahs, under the guidance of coach BJ Murillo, as they take on the reigning and four-peat Cesafi champions University of the Visayas Green Lancers, coached by Gary Cortes.

Competition Structure and Prizes

The tournament will follow a single round-robin format, with games played nightly. The top two teams from the round-robin stage will advance automatically to the championship game, while the third and fourth-placed teams will compete for third place honors. The championship match is slated for Thursday, concluding the event with a climactic showdown.
