Bolick Highlights Importance of Early Wins

Robert Bolick, a reliable star for the Road Warriors, has stressed the significance of starting strong in their initial games. He pointed out that their upcoming schedule includes matches against championship-caliber teams, making early momentum crucial. "Importante sa amin itong first game kasi 'yung next three games namin championship contenders," Bolick stated, preparing for the tough tasks ahead against Magnolia, defending champion TNT Tropang Giga, and Barangay Ginebra. "So kailangan namin ng momentum papunta sa doon," he added, underscoring the team's strategic focus.

Team Chemistry and Coaching Insights

Coach Jong Uichico of the Road Warriors shared that the team is currently in a phase of adjustment and development. "Medyo nagkakapaan. Anybody who made personnel changes, goes to this phase," Uichico explained, highlighting the challenges of integrating new players. He further noted that the team is still searching for the right combination and chemistry among its members. "We're still looking for the right combination, chemistry but mabuti na lang na-overcome namin yung magandang laro ng Blackwater. I think it was our experience in the end na lang (that pulled the team through)," Uichico remarked, reflecting on their narrow 84-81 win against the Blackwater Bossing last Friday.

Key Performances and Upcoming Games

In their opening game, Bolick led the scoring with 24 points, while import Cady Lalane contributed significantly with 22 points and 16 rebounds. Key recruit Schonny Winston, formerly of Converge, added 10 points, five rebounds, and four steals, showcasing his defensive prowess. On the other side, the Magnolia Timplados Hotshots are looking to bounce back from a close 101-98 loss to the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters last Friday.
