Rain or Shine Tops Magnolia 91-82 in PBA Commissioner's Cup

The Rain or Shine Elasto Painters quickly bounced back from their first loss by defeating the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, 91-82, in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Season 50 Commissioner's Cup on Saturday evening at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.

Mamuyac Shines in Second Half

Gian Mamuyac delivered 18 of his 25 points in the second half. Aside from his offensive output, he also made significant defensive contributions that led to transition plays in favor of Rain or Shine. The E-Painters now hold an 8-1 win-loss record, with their only defeat coming from a tight battle against the Phoenix Fuel Masters, 83-87, on Tuesday.

“This is a tough win for us. We had to tough it out in this game. But we like those kinds of wins; those are tests of character. So it's a good win for us, and we are nearing the nine wins we need (for the playoffs bonus),” said Rain or Shine coach Yeng Guiao.
