Roger Pogoy, one of the key pillars of TNT Tropang 5G, is set to sign a three-year contract extension with the telecommunications franchise.
TNT team manager Jojo Lastimosa revealed that the three-year contract for Pogoy, a native of Talisay City, Cebu, is ready.
Pogoy's contract was originally set to expire in August of this year, but Lastimosa confirmed that an agreement has been reached that will allow the former Far Eastern University (FEU) player to continue playing for the only PBA franchise he has served.
“He’s about to sign. We’re just finalizing details,” Lastimosa added.
Pogoy is one of the players who entered the big league through the Gilas Cadet special draft in 2016. He was selected 12th overall in the Gilas Cadet draft, a special selection process where all teams could pick amateur players who had played for the national squad.
The 34-year-old Pogoy has been part of four championships with TNT and remains one of the key players for the team.
