The tournament, boasting a total purse of P6 million, will unfold from January 27, 2026, at the renowned layout in Santa Rosa City, Laguna. Tabuena, the 2017 champion, enters the event in fine form, fresh from a third-place finish in the Asian Tour International Series Order of Merit.
His participation follows a strong showing at the 2025 LIV Golf Promotions, which, despite not securing a coveted LIV Golf League card, demonstrated his readiness for elite competition. The 72-hole championship will feature a formidable field comprising past champions and the top 30 finishers from the 2025 PGT Order of Merit.
A Rich History and Defending Champion
As the flagship event of the local circuit, the TCC Invitational is the richest tournament in Philippine golf, with each of its three legs guaranteeing at least P2 million in total prizes. The event has a storied history of dramatic finishes.
Tabuena nearly won back-to-back titles in 2018 but was denied by a single stroke by Korean-American Micah Shin. Dutch golfer Guido van der Valk has claimed two titles (2020, 2023), while veteran Tony Lascuña won his second crown in 2024.
