CIT-U Junior Wildcats Dominate Court with Decisive Victory

The Cebu Institute of Technology–University (CIT-U) Junior Wildcats delivered a powerful performance on Monday, November 17, 2025, securing their fourth victory of the season by overwhelming the Don Bosco Technical College (DBTC) Greywolves with a final score of 81-51. The match, part of the ongoing Cebu Schools Athletic Foundation Inc. (Cesafi) basketball event, took place at the Cebu Coliseum and showcased the Wildcats' commanding presence on the court.

Team Effort Leads to Commanding Win

Under the guidance of coach Axel Rabaya, the Junior Wildcats executed a near-flawless game, dominating all aspects of the matchup and leaving the Greywolves with little opportunity to recover. The victory was a true team effort, with nearly every player contributing to the scoreboard.

Jero Daniel Rosellosa led the offensive charge for CIT-U, putting up an impressive 14 points and grabbing 5 rebounds. He was strongly supported by Kim Alburo, who scored 11 points, and Theo Maxin Santiago, who added 10 points to the tally. Only two players, Drovic Von Panulaya and Gabriel James Pablo, did not register points in this comprehensive team performance.

This win marks the third consecutive victory for the Junior Wildcats since October 26, improving their season record to four wins and two losses. This solid performance has secured them the fourth position in the current Cesafi team standings.

Greywolves Struggle Despite Strong Start

For the DBTC Greywolves, the loss represents their fifth defeat in six games this season. Despite the final score, the team showed early promise, initially taking control of the game and building a 19-10 lead.

However, the Wildcats quickly responded with a devastating 10-0 scoring rally to snatch back the lead at 20-19. From that point onward, CIT-U never relinquished control. They continued to press their advantage, launching additional rallies that extended their lead to 45-25 by halftime.

Standout performances in the losing effort came from James Kennedy Plano, who achieved a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds, and Daniel Cerilles Jr., who contributed 11 points.

The convincing nature of this win solidifies the CIT-U Junior Wildcats' momentum as they continue their campaign in the Cesafi league, demonstrating their growing prowess and teamwork on the basketball court.
