Hatchit Solutions Celebrates 10 Years of Digital Transformation in Cebu
Cebu's Hatchit Solutions Marks 10th Anniversary Milestone

Cebu's homegrown technology powerhouse, Hatchit Solutions, is celebrating a significant milestone this year: its 10th anniversary. Founded in 2016, the company has spent a decade establishing itself as a trusted partner for businesses across the Philippines seeking clarity and confidence in their digital transformation journeys.

A Decade of Disciplined Growth and Impact

The story of Hatchit Solutions began with a clear vision from its founder, Charles Anthony Yu. He started the company on the premise that entrepreneurs could grow faster if the right systems handled their operational burdens. Assembling a core team of friends and former colleagues, Yu focused on building enterprise-grade tools that freed business owners to concentrate on strategy and growth.

From its early days as a small, determined team, Hatchit embraced a philosophy that remains central today: success is about solving the client's problem, not just delivering a feature. This client-centric approach guided every aspect of their work, from product design to making technology accessible for organizations at all stages of digital maturity.

Key Milestones and Product Evolution

Hatchit's journey is marked by strategic product development driven by real industry needs. Between 2016 and 2018, the company launched early versions of its Content Management System, Business Management Systems for inventory and accounting, and Hatchit Payroll.

The pace of innovation accelerated in the following years. In 2019, they introduced a Property Management System for condominiums and hotels. The subsequent years saw the launch of Order.ly webstores (2020), Digits BMS (2021), Order.ly Office (2022), and Surge Payroll (2023).

By 2025, the company's flagship products had evolved to include Billbird for billing and payments, Digits ERP, and SurgeHR, a comprehensive human resources suite. This product portfolio reflects a decade of listening to clients and adapting to the market.

Building Talent and a National Presence

Beyond technology, Hatchit has made substantial contributions to talent development in Cebu. After gaining early recognition at the UnionBank Hackathon in 2016, the company began mentoring future innovators by 2017.

This commitment crystallized with the Hatchit Internships program launched in 2019, which has become the primary talent pipeline for the company. Remarkably, over 90 percent of Hatchit's team started as interns from partner universities, receiving hands-on project experience and close mentorship.

Operationally, the company secured its first headquarters in 2019. By 2024, its systems achieved nationwide scale, supporting millions of customer transactions. A new chapter began in 2025 with the development of a new Hatchit office in Cebu Business Park, signaling readiness for future expansion.

Looking Ahead to the Next Decade

As Hatchit enters its second decade, founder and CEO Charles Yu expressed gratitude and a renewed sense of purpose. He credited the company's growth to divine guidance and the talent, grit, and commitment of its people.

The company's future strategy focuses on two complementary paths. First, it will refine and expand its portfolio of AI-embedded SaaS platforms that businesses can white-label. Second, it aims to enhance its role as a strategic technology partner for organizations needing outsourced engineering and long-term collaboration.

Supported by ongoing learning in fields like artificial intelligence and machine learning, Hatchit approaches new technologies with disciplined, purposeful application. The long-term vision includes deepening its Philippine presence and gradually expanding into Southeast Asia.

Hatchit Solutions celebrates its 10th anniversary not just as a corporate milestone, but as a testament to a decade of solving real business problems with technology, developing Filipino talent, and contributing to Cebu's vibrant tech ecosystem.
