The IBP Cebu Tricity Marathon 2026, scheduled for October 25, 2026, is not just a major running event in Metro Cebu but also a way to provide help and hope to street dwellers and children with cancer through every kilometer run by participants.

Now in its fourth year, the marathon, formerly known as the IBP Cebu Run, will once again bring together runners, lawyers, students, and community members at Robinsons Galleria Cebu.

According to the organizers, this year's event has been expanded with new race categories, improved race merchandise, and a tricity route showcasing the beauty of Metro Cebu, passing through Cebu City, Mandaue, and Talisay.

Excitement from Participants
Ultramarathon runner and content creator Doris Baguio Daño expressed her excitement for the upcoming event. She emphasized the importance of good connectivity during the run to easily document and share their experience with followers in real time. She added that a strong signal also helps in quickly communicating with family and friends during the race.
Organizers and Sponsors
The event is organized by the Young Lawyers Association of Cebu, Inc., in partnership with Smart Communications, Inc., which will provide 4G and 5G connectivity support along the entire marathon route. According to the organizers, strong connectivity aids communication, participant safety, and the overall race experience.
Michael Francis Hubahib, head organizer of the marathon, thanked Smart for their continued support in making the event safer and more enjoyable for participants. Christian So also stated that their company remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote wellness and community unity.
