The skies of Pampanga glowed with renewed hope and joy as the magnificent Pampanga Eye ferris wheel at Skyranch in SM City Pampanga came alive in a spectacular display of light and music on Saturday, November 29, 2025.

Before thousands of excited spectators, the 223-foot tall, 164-foot diameter ferris wheel transformed into what has become known as the "Biggest Lantern of Hope" in its ninth annual presentation. This breathtaking beacon of unity masterfully wove together dazzling lights, enchanting music, and heartfelt storytelling to officially usher in the holiday season with wonder and excitement.
The massive structure captivated audiences from Mexico town and the City of San Fernando with an astonishing 17,664 dancing lights that rippled across its enormous frame. The centerpiece of the evening was an explosive 10-minute pyro-musical show that left spectators in complete awe as the Pampanga Eye took center stage in the night sky.
Official Lighting Ceremony
The momentous lighting ceremony and switch-on event gathered distinguished guests and officials who collectively brought the spectacle to life. The ceremony was led by Mexico Tourism Officer Michael Panlilio, Municipal Administrator Mark Pineda, and Vice Mayor Jonathan Pangan representing the local government.
From the private sector, key figures included SM Supermalls Vice President Junias Eusebio, Vice President for Operations Johanna N. Rupisan, Senior Vice President for Operations – Special Projects Bien C. Mateo, and SM Regional Operations Head for North 5 Andrea M. Rodriguez. Also present were BFP Regional Director Fire Chief Supt. Manuel Golino, City of San Fernando Tourism Officer Ching Pangilinan, and Sky Ranch Operations Manager Jean Cañedo.
