The Clark International Airport Corporation (CIAC) has once again proven its excellence in governance and operations, securing a prestigious national award for an impressive third year in a row.
Third Consecutive Recognition at GCG Awards
The Governance Commission for GOCCs (GCG) honored CIAC as one of the top-performing government-owned and -controlled corporations during its annual awards ceremony. The event took place on December 1, 2025, in Parañaque City. CIAC President Jojit Alcazar personally received the award from GCG Chairperson Marius Corpus.
Alcazar was not alone in celebrating this milestone. He was accompanied by key CIAC officials, including Chief Finance Officer Nancy Paglinawan, Chief Operations Officer Brando Aguilera, Assistant Vice President for Legal Services Rustico Quizon III, and Member of the Board Director Jaime Lazatin. The award is based on the Performance Evaluation System (PES) for Calendar Year 2024, a rigorous assessment of corporate governance and operational achievements.
Sustained Commitment to Excellence and Governance
This three-peat victory is not a coincidence. CIAC credits its sustained commitment to high standards. The PES acts as a comprehensive management tool, setting performance measures, targets, and initiatives that guide long-term strategy and ensure accountability.
In his statement, President Alcazar highlighted that the award reflects the corporation's dedication to not just meeting, but exceeding government standards. "It recognizes the hard work of CIAC officers and employees in advancing our strategic initiatives for the Clark Civil Aviation Complex," Alcazar said. He emphasized that this achievement is a testament to the collective effort of the entire CIAC team.
Fueling the Vision for Clark Aviation Capital
More than just an accolade, this recognition serves as fuel for CIAC's ambitious future plans. The corporation, acting as the aviation and land development arm of the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA), has a clear mission.
Its goal is to transform the Clark aviation complex into the envisioned Clark Aviation Capital—a dynamic business center poised to become the Philippines' premier global aviation and logistics hub. Alcazar expressed hope that the award would inspire continued progress toward this goal, particularly in advancing flagship projects focused on sustainable and economically viable developments.
"May this award inspire us to continue pushing toward our goals, especially our flagship projects for the Clark Aviation Capital—sustainable and economically viable developments that will create lasting impact for Clark," he added. This award underscores CIAC's pivotal role in driving growth and development in the region through strategic and well-governed initiatives.
