Jayvee Lyn Lorejo: Davao's Pride Aims for Miss World Philippines 2026 Crown
Davao's Jayvee Lyn Lorejo is a Miss World PH 2026 Frontrunner

The excitement for Miss World Philippines 2026 is building, and the Davao Region has a powerful and inspiring representative to rally behind: Jayvee Lyn Lorejo. The 25-year-old candidate has quickly emerged as a frontrunner, earning early recognition as one of the "Darlings of the Press" during the pageant's official presentation. With the grand coronation set for February 3, 2026, at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, all eyes are on this remarkable Davaoeña.

Roots of a Davaoeña: Humility, Hard Work, and Heart

Jayvee Lyn Lorejo's story is deeply rooted in Davao. Raised between Davao City and Mawab in Davao de Oro, she proudly declares herself a Davaoeña wherever she goes. Her character was forged in the humble setting of her Lola Belen's sari-sari store, where she learned the values of perseverance, honesty, and hard work by helping count candies and give change to customers. This upbringing taught her to value every centavo, driving her to work various jobs—from runway modeling to event ushering in Davao City—to support herself and her grandmother and put herself through a Tourism degree.

Today, she is a cabin crew member for the country's flag carrier, but her heart remains firmly with her homeland. She creatively promotes the Davao Region, recently sharing a tourism video on Instagram that showcases the food, destinations, and culture of all five Davao provinces.

More Than Beauty: The Philanthropic Spirit of Jayvee Lyn

Lorejo's mission extends far beyond the pageant stage. Inspired by the love of her Lola Belen, she founded the "Pangga Project"—a philanthropic initiative dedicated to supporting the elderly. "Pangga," a local term meaning to cherish or care, perfectly encapsulates the project's goal of providing seniors with basic needs, healthcare, and opportunities.

To date, the project has touched the lives of over 100 elders in the Davao Region and was even extended to Cebu to aid victims of Typhoon Tino. Her advocacy also includes animal welfare; she is a dedicated rescuer who currently cares for 10 dogs and 10 cats at her home in Davao City, with a dream of one day establishing a proper animal shelter in the region.

A Role Model Inspired by Icons

Lorejo's influences reveal the depth of her character. While her grandmother is her primary inspiration, she also looks up to the late Princess Diana, not just for timeless style but for her profound humanitarian work. This admiration fuels Lorejo's belief that she can be a queen in her own right by serving her community.

Her exceptional journey has already garnered national attention, with features in publications like Vogue and People’s Asia. As the coronation night approaches, Davaoeños and supporters nationwide can vote for her live on the SQORS website to help bring the crown and Davao's spirit to the world stage.
