Sharon Cuneta has made an emotional appeal to former Vice President Leni Robredo, urging her to run for president again in the 2028 elections. In an open letter addressed to Robredo, who currently serves as the mayor of Naga City, the Megastar expressed her hope that Robredo would reconsider her decision not to run.
An Emotional Plea
“Dearest Ma’am Leni, please reconsider. You are the one who can unite these different parties,” wrote Cuneta. She emphasized that many more people are now counting on Robredo’s leadership. “Ma’am, mas madami na pong di hamak na umaasa sa inyo ngayon… Please, Ma’am Leni. We are all storming the heavens with our prayers for you to change your mind and run once more—just one more time po Ma’am, for President.”
Support from Kakampinks
Cuneta also highlighted the unwavering support of Robredo’s supporters, known as Kakampinks. “Naghihintay lang po kaming lahat Ma’am, mga kakampink noon at mga naging kakampink na ngayon. Mahal na mahal po namin kayo at patuloy na naniniwala sa katapatan at abilidad ninyo na patakbuhin at alagaan ang ating bansa.” She added that support for Robredo is growing stronger than ever, concluding with, “Just say the word, Ma’am…”
The open letter has sparked reactions online, with many echoing Cuneta’s sentiments and hoping for Robredo’s return to the national political stage.
