Davao's Koro sa Pasko 2025 Grand Finals Winners Announced

The festive spirit of Christmas resonated powerfully in Davao City as the grand finals of the much-anticipated Koro sa Pasko 2025 transformed Rizal Park into a hub of melodic celebration on December 6, 2025. The event, a cornerstone of the official Pasko Fiesta 2025 calendar, saw talented chorale groups from across the city serenade Dabawenyos with classic and contemporary holiday tunes.

Harmonious Competition Across Four Categories

Organizers designed the competition to be inclusive, featuring contests in four distinct categories. This structure allowed a wide range of vocal talents to shine, from seasoned seniors to enthusiastic school children and open community groups. The categories were Senior Citizen, School-Based Elementary, School-Based High School, and Open.

Celebrating the Champions of Song

After a day filled with harmonious performances, the judges reached their decisions. In the Senior Citizen Category, the Bambu Seniors Chorale captured first place. They were followed by the Senior Citizen Cabantian Chorus in second and the Sto. Niño Chorale Group in third.

The School-Based Elementary Category was won by the delightful Maa Central Children’s Chorus. The DCSS Choristers secured second place, with the Cabantian Children’s Choir taking third.

For high school voices, the Denian’s Voice Ensemble earned the top spot. The Kaduyog Youth Choir placed second, and the Harmonia Bangoy SPA Choir came in third.

The most competitive Open Category saw the Mindanao Chorale Ensemble claim victory. The University of the Immaculate Conception Chorale won second place, and Koro Dabawenyo finished third.

Substantial Prizes for Musical Excellence

The competition was not only about prestige but also came with significant cash rewards and plaques to honor the winners' achievements.

For the Senior Citizens, Elementary, and High School categories:

  • First Place: PHP 50,000 and a plaque.
  • Second Place: PHP 35,000 and a plaque.
  • Third Place: PHP 25,000 and a plaque.

Notably, three consolation winners in the School-based High School category each received PHP 20,000.

For the Open Category, the stakes were even higher:

  • First Place: A grand prize of PHP 75,000 and a plaque.
  • Second Place: PHP 50,000 and a plaque.
  • Third Place: PHP 35,000 and a plaque.
