In a thrilling culmination of musical talent, the rock band Tamad Si Juan from Davao City secured the prestigious title of 2025 Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban Grand Champion. The grand finals took place on March 14, 2026, at the Filinvest City Events Grounds in Alabang, Muntinlupa City, where the band outperformed top contenders from across the Philippines to claim victory.

A Night of Rock and Recognition

Organized by San Miguel Corp., the event showcased the best up-and-coming Filipino bands, with Tamad Si Juan rising to the top after a series of intense preliminary eliminations. The band's members, including drummer Marc Lois Vistal, vocalist Reg Twostone, lead guitarist Kram Noiz, guitarist Shed Jabinez, and bassist Jepax Jaso, expressed overwhelming gratitude for their win.

Vistal shared, "Para kaming tinapunan ng maraming rosas. Despite the struggles and challenges, somehow, we deserve this. Lahat ng kasama naming banda dito, they also deserve this pero blessed enough kami to win." Jabinez added, "We are grateful for what we achieved tonight. Ang layo ng pinanggalingan namin pero it was all worth it."

Competition and Prizes

The band faced stiff competition from finalists including:

  • VDS from Quezon City
  • BAGUIO GOLD MUSIC from Baguio City
  • HILO from Cabuyao, Laguna
  • THEMATA from Tacloban City

As champions, Tamad Si Juan received a cash prize of Php1 million and the coveted title. Vistal emphasized the significance of the competition, stating, "Isang malaking pintuan ang Red Horse Beer Pambansang Muziklaban para sa mga musikero. This is a way for us to prove ourselves as a band kasi hindi basta-basta 'yung challenges when it comes to the preparation from the elimination rounds up to the finals."

Supporting Acts and Additional Awards

The grand finals were further energized by performances from renowned local bands such as Greyhoundz, Wilabaliw, Urbandub, Kjwan, Razorback, Typecast, Chocolate Factory, Setsuna, and past Muziklaban champion Mayonnaise. In a special segment, attendees voted for the Rakista People's Choice Award, which was won by BAGUIO GOLD MUSIC from Baguio City, earning them a trophy and cases of Red Horse Beer.
