With the historic capture of the New York Knicks' first National Basketball Association (NBA) championship since 1973, many stories have been etched in the minds of basketball fans worldwide.
These include the game-winning tip-in shot by Knicks big man OG Anunoby in Game 4 and the 45 points delivered by team leader Jalen Brunson in Game 5 of the 2025-26 NBA Finals series.
In this exciting best-of-seven series, the Knicks defeated Victor Wembanyama and the entire San Antonio Spurs force, 4-1.
The amazing events of this series continue to be the center of stories.
However, all of this is slowly being overshadowed by the message of Knicks owner James Dolan on the popular sports podcast "Roommates Show," whose hosts are Knicks members Brunson and Josh Hart, along with sports media personality Matt Hillman.
In a video that circulated on social media, Dolan revealed that he advised the Knicks players not to have sex for 10 weeks from the start of the Playoffs.
Dolan also advised his players to be careful with their diet and get enough sleep on time.
"It's not a long time. Sacrifice everything you got these next 10 weeks to win that championship. I had this idea that maybe you should give up sex for the next 10 weeks," Dolan said.
Was Dolan joking? Perhaps, but he continued to talk about it.
"Go home, talk to your wives and tell them. Don't tell them you're not gonna have sex, don't tell 'em it was my idea. But let them know what this is gonna be like, what your commitment is gonna be like, and how they're gonna have to sacrifice too," Dolan added.
It remains a mystery whether the Knicks players followed Dolan's suggestion or not. / From wires
