PDEA-7 Nabs 5, Seizes P1.1M Shabu in Cebu

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 7 arrested five individuals, including a minor, in two separate operations on Thursday, June 18, 2026. The first operation, a buy-bust in Barangay Banilad, Cebu City, led to the arrest of a live-in couple and the seizure of over P1 million worth of suspected shabu.

According to PDEA-7 Director Joel Plaza, the couple, identified as alias “Vicente,” 50, and alias “Jecille,” 47, both residents of the area, were apprehended at around 7:20 p.m. in Sitio Tonggo, Barangay Banilad. Confiscated from them were 11 large packs of suspected shabu weighing 160 grams, with an estimated value of P1,088,000. The operation was a joint effort by the PDEA-7 Regional Special Enforcement Team, PDEA-7 Intelligence Section, and Mabolo Police Station 4.

In a second operation at around 11:40 p.m. the same day, PDEA-7 dismantled a suspected drug den in Barangay Langtad, Naga City. Arrested were the alleged maintainer, alias “Babing,” 39, and two customers caught in the act of using shabu: alias “Justin,” 25, and a 15-year-old boy. All suspects are residents of the barangay.

Seized from the drug den were five packs of suspected shabu weighing 11 grams, with an average market value of P74,800, along with various drug paraphernalia.

The four adult suspects are currently in the custody of the PDEA-7 Regional Office, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. The 15-year-old minor has been turned over to the Naga City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO).
