The Police Regional Office (PRO) 7 confiscated illegal drugs worth over PHP 4 million during a two-day anti-illegal drug and anti-criminality operation from May 29 to 30, 2026.
Details of the Seizure
In total, the Central Visayas police confiscated 586.03 grams of suspected shabu with a standard drug price (SDP) of PHP 3,985,004, aside from loose firearms seized in various operations.
Major Buy-Bust Operation
The largest operation was a buy-bust conducted by the Intelligence Unit and Drug Enforcement Unit of the Mandaue City Police Office on Friday afternoon, May 29, in Lower Matimco, Barangay Subangdaku.
The operation led to the arrest of a High-Value Individual (HVI) identified only by the alias “Matmat,” 33 years old, a resident of Barangay Luz in Cebu City.
Authorities recovered 500 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP 3.4 million from the suspect.
The arrested individual will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
