Tricycle Driver Arrested in Toledo City for Shabu

A tricycle driver who allegedly moonlighted as a shabu seller was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 9:56 p.m. on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, in Barangay Dumlog, Toledo City.

Suspect Identified

The suspect was identified as Rotchinel Limbaring Trinchera, 46, single, a tricycle driver and resident of Sitio Anopog, Barangay Dumlog, Toledo City. He is currently detained at the Toledo Police Station and will face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, for selling and possession of illegal drugs.

Surveillance and Operation

Personnel from the Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU) of the Toledo Police Station had been monitoring the suspect after receiving information that aside from driving his tricycle, he was also engaged in the illegal drug trade, specifically selling shabu.

During the buy-bust operation, the police recovered four packets of shabu with a total weight of 4.35 grams and an estimated street value of P29,580. The suspect is now facing charges for drug pushing and possession.
