DAR Distributes Land Titles, Condonation Certs to Zamboanga Sibugay Farmers
Zamboanga Sibugay Farmers Get Land Titles, Debt Relief

In a significant move to empower farmers and secure land ownership, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has distributed official land titles and debt relief documents to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Zamboanga Sibugay.

Distribution Ceremony in Ipil Town

The distribution activity took place on Monday, December 29, in Taway village, located within Ipil, the capital town of Zamboanga Sibugay province. Leading the event was Lawyer Ramon Madroñal Jr., the Regional Director for DAR in the Zamboanga Peninsula. He was supported by various provincial and municipal officials from the agrarian reform agency during the ceremony.

Secure Ownership and Financial Relief for Farmers

During the distribution, Director Madroñal highlighted the dual impact of the documents provided. The land titles grant the farmer-beneficiaries incontestable proof of ownership over the lands they till. Simultaneously, the Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (Cocorom) absolve them of their remaining land amortization obligations.

"These interventions provide farmers with stability and renewed hope, enabling them to focus on improving productivity and sustaining their livelihoods," Madroñal stated. He emphasized that possessing clear land ownership is a fundamental step in empowering agricultural workers and enhancing their overall quality of life.

A Continued Commitment to Agrarian Reform

This event underscores the government's ongoing dedication to the goals of agrarian reform and rural development. Madroñal pointed out that the distribution is a direct reflection of this commitment. He assured that DAR remains steadfast in its mandate to fully implement the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP).

The agency's core objectives include:

  • Ensuring lasting land tenure security for beneficiaries.
  • Delivering responsive and supportive services to all ARBs across the region.

This latest distribution in Zamboanga Sibugay is a concrete example of translating policy into tangible benefits for Filipino farmers, providing them with the foundation needed for a more secure and prosperous future.
