BCDA, ACMobility to Build EV Charging Stations in New Clark City
EV Charging Stations Coming to New Clark City

Electric vehicle owners in New Clark City (NCC) are about to enjoy a significant upgrade in convenience. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA) has entered into a key partnership with ACMobility to roll out dedicated electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) parking slots within the burgeoning administrative hub.

Partnership Powers Sustainable Mobility

The agreement, formalized recently, grants ACMobility a lease on a portion of land at the National Government Administrative Center in New Clark City. The company will be responsible for the construction, operation, and long-term maintenance of the new EV charging infrastructure. This move directly supports the BCDA's vision of transforming NCC into a model, self-sustaining community of the future.

Building on a Green Foundation

This initiative is not the first of its kind for the state-owned agency. The BCDA highlighted that this project expands upon its earlier efforts to promote electric mobility, which included the installation of EV charging stations in Camp John Hay. The latest venture in NCC underscores a committed strategy to improve access to low-emission transportation options across its developments.

The signing ceremony was attended by key figures from both organizations. Ma. Alicia Carla Buencamino, Head of Mobility Infrastructure at ACMobility, and Mark Torres, BCDA Officer-in-Charge and Senior Vice President for Conversion and Development, were present to witness the milestone agreement, which was finalized on December 29, 2025.

Accelerating Towards a Greener Future

The installation of these charging stations is a concrete step towards reducing the carbon footprint of transportation within New Clark City. By making it more practical to own and operate an electric vehicle, the BCDA and ACMobility are encouraging a shift away from fossil fuel-dependent cars. This infrastructure project is expected to serve government employees, residents, and visitors to the area, making sustainable travel a viable and convenient choice.

This development signals a growing commitment to green technology and smart city planning in the Philippines. As New Clark City continues to rise, its integration of eco-friendly infrastructure like EV charging stations sets a benchmark for future sustainable urban development in the country.
