In a proactive move to bolster community safety, Pampanga High School (PHS) became the site of a comprehensive earthquake preparedness exercise. The drill, organized by the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO), took place on December 17, 2025, involving the entire school community of students and educators.
Multi-Agency Effort for School Safety
The activity was spearheaded by the CDRRMO under Raymond Del Rosario. It was not a solo endeavor, as evaluators from key national agencies observed and assessed the proceedings. Representatives from the Office of Civil Defense, the Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine Red Cross were present, forming a united front for disaster readiness. These agencies later commended the school for its active participation and initiative in prioritizing emergency preparedness.

Mayor Vilma Caluag voiced her full endorsement of the critical drill. She highlighted the city government's unwavering dedication to disaster readiness and the protection of students and teachers. PHS School Head Marilen Calma expressed gratitude to the CDRRMO and its partner agencies for facilitating the realistic exercise.
