Iloilo City Engages in Regional Training to Tackle Urban Heat Challenges

Iloilo City actively participated in the Regional Training Workshop titled "Enabling Urban Action: Advancing Urban Heat Resilience in Asia-Pacific" held from April 8 to 9, 2026, in Bangkok, Thailand. This event brought together cities from across South and Southeast Asia to address the critical climate risk of extreme heat, which poses significant threats to urban environments.

City Representatives and Their Roles

The Iloilo City Government was represented by a dedicated team of officials. Iñigo Garingalao, head of the Office of the City Agriculturist, Celeste Milan from the Iloilo City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and Mitchvy Collado from the Iloilo City Office of the City Planning and Development Coordinator attended the workshop.
